                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
                   CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE BROWN ACRES
                   GOLF COURSE, INCLUDING ALL LAND, BUILDINGS,
                   EQUIPMENT AND INVENTORY FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO
                   EXCEED ONE MILLION FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY FIVE
                   THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($1,585,000.00)
                   AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ARRANGE
                   FINANCING FOR SAID ACQUISITION AND FOR THE
                   COMPLETION OF THE BRAINERD GOLF COURSE

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       to contract for the purchase of the Brown Acres Golf Course,
       including all land, buildings, equipment and inventory for an
       amount not to exceed $1,585,000.00, and further authorizing the
       Mayor to arrange financing for said acquisition and for the
       completion of the Brainerd Golf Course renovation.
